Kobe is a sophisticated port city nestled between the Rokko Mountains and Osaka Bay in the Kansai region. The city is world-famous for its premium Kobe beef, but offers much more including the historic Kitano-cho district with its Western-style houses, the scenic Kobe Harborland, and the moving Kobe Earthquake Memorial Museum.
